“Deadliest Catch” Exec-Producer Speaks, Meets with Students
Paul Gasek, the Discovery Channel’s Senior Science Editor and Emmy Award winning Executive Producer, spoke in Bryant’s Janikies Auditorium on Monday, September 22. In his presentation, Gasek spoke vividly of his experiences as an Executive Producer for Discovery and the role of television in promoting the study of nature. Gasek, who has overseen the creation of hundreds of hours of programming, showed and discussed clips from ”Deadliest Catch,” ”Secrets of the Dinosaur Mummy,” and “Global Warming: What You Need to Know.” Later, at Bryant’s TV studio, he met privately with students who aspire to careers in media production, offering his advice and encouragement, and discussing internship opportunities at Discovery.
